About School

In 1908 St Augustine’s Lower Primary school was established under the guidance of Rev Fr Raphael Fernandez, the Vicar of the Parish. The school was really a blessing for the people of the village. St. Augustine’s LP School was granted permission in 1908 when Rev. Fr. Raphael Fernandes was the parish priest in the 20th ward of Aroor Grama Panchayat in the northernmost part of Alappuzha district, adjacent to St. Augustine’s Church. This is a school with the largest number of students enrolled in the first grade, not only in the schools of the Diocese of Kochi but also in the Thuravoor sub-district itself. Many children, regardless of caste or religion, have studied here.
