History
A Humanitarian and social worker Mr Paul Mylanthara realised the economic and educational needs of the children of his neighbourhood, and established Vidhyavardhini Lower Primary School in 1935. Today it is known as V.V.L.P School with a humble begining in a thatched shed, with only classes I and II, it was rebuilt in 1957 as a tiled-roof building. In the course of time, classes III and IV were started. Mr Paul Mylanthara was the first Manager of the School. Later his son Mr. Basil Mylanthara held the position till 2007.
The Diocese of Cochin purchased the school from Mr. Basil Mylanthara in 2007 and the school came under the Management of the Diocese. To improve the facilities of the school, the Diocese constructed a double storied building. The new building was blessed on 31st May 2009 and the school started to function in the new building from the academic year 2009-2010. Msgr.
